Rajat Ghose is a Writer, Producer and Director with over a hundred videos to his credit. He creates corporate films, shorts, digital commercials and documentaries.

He was born in Calcutta and went to school in St. Joseph’s College, Darjeeling.

As a student he developed a deep interest in films and influenced by Satyajit Ray and Werner Herzog, decided to step directly into the world filmmaking. After completing his graduation from St. Xavier’s, Calcutta, he began working as an assistant director. He assisted award winning documentary filmmakers and ad filmmakers in Mumbai. He scripted short films.

In 1998, Rajat moved to Delhi and became Associate Producer on popular TV Shows, namely Star Plus’s INDIA BUSINESS WEEK and BBC World’s REAL INDIA TRAVEL SHOW. During this time he also scripted and directed an Episode on STAR Best SELLERS titled RAAZ.

In 2002, he wrote and directed a short titled THE TENANT. The film played on the UK Website UrbanChillers and was one of the first digital features to have been produced in India.

In 2013 he Directed the documentary FACING THE SUN, which was a contemplative examination of the lives of North East women working in Delhi.

Currently Rajat is a full time filmmaker.

He works closely with clients and brings his rich experience to deliver films that go beyond their expected needs. He believes that every film is a communication asset. And in today’s world, no one can overlook the power of video.

He has worked with diverse industries and on diverse topics. As a writer-director in his own productions and in those of production houses he partners with, he has made films for companies such as IKEA, Tata Consumer Products, Maruti Suzuki, ONGC, Volvo and many more.
